Skylight - Our app from past to present

This talk is about our long 3-year journey from a pure JavaScript hellscape to a best-in-class React Native implementation. We'll be exploring react native architecture circa 2017 all the way through to 2026 and the major shifts that have occurred. We'll then explore some of the newest tooling available to react native developers and how we are using it at Skylight. We are exploring a ton of new tools in the next few months, such as Tanstack DB and sync engines, getting our app onto react compiler, and using Hermes V1. I'll have a ton of really cool data points to show along the way.
